From May to July the four fellows of the project Wessen Erinnerung? Wessen Erinnern? – Erinnerungskulturen in Deutschland und in der Türkei mitgestalten lived and worked in Chemnitz. They did research on the topics of remembrance culture and right-wing terror, which they are currently continuing in Turkey. As a result, the fellows produced a podcast about their (first) encounter with Germany and particularly Chemnitz. Since two of them are originally from Turkey and two from Turkish families that moved to Germany in the past, the audio piece is an exploration of different perspectives on the city and an attempt to track how it remembers the victims of the NSU-Complex.
