Final report of the committee of inquiry to investigate possible misconduct by Bavarian security and judicial authorities including the responsible ministries, the State Chancellery and political decision-makers in connection with the observation of right-wing extremist structures and activities in Bavaria, in particular the formation of the right-wing extremist group “National Socialist Underground” (NSU) and
possible supporters in Bavaria and the proceedings to identify the perpetrators of the assassinations of September 9, 2000 in Nuremberg, June 13, 2001 in Nuremberg, August 29, 2001 in Munich, June 9, 2005 in Nuremberg and June 15, 2005 in Munich and possible further assassinations in Bavaria by right-wing extremists
The Federal Office of Criminal Investigation is responsible for the investigation of criminal offences committed and the resulting organizational and political measures required to improve the fight against right-wing extremist structures and activities and to optimize investigative procedures and cooperation between the various security and judicial authorities.
