Opening of the documentation center on 25.05.2025

On Sunday, May 25, 2025, the “Offener Prozess” Documentation Center in Chemnitz will ceremonially open its doors. The documentation center will be a place of encounter, remembrance and learning that gives those affected by right-wing violence a voice, critically examines the history of the NSU and strengthens social cohesion.

It serves as a central point of contact to shed light on the crimes of the NSU-Komplex and to keep the memories of the murder victims and those affected by the right-wing terror of the NSU alive.

We would like to take this opportunity to cordially invite you to the opening ceremony and ask you to register briefly for capacity and security reasons.

Enver Şimşek, Abdurrahim Özüdoğru, Süleyman Taşköprü, Habil Kılıç, Mehmet Turgut, İsmail Yaşarar, Theodoros Boulgarides, Mehmet Kubaşık, Halit Yozgat, Michèle Kiesewetter –
and the survivors and victims of NSU terror.

You can expect short guided tours through the exhibition, talks with the team, artistic works and performative contributions.

On display are, among others:

  • Offener Prozess exhibition
  • Performance “TAKDİR. THE RECOGNITION” by Ülkü Süngün
  • Installations and works by Talya Feldman, Studio umschichten, Mark Mühlhaus and the Freiraumgalerie Chemnitz
  • Musical contributions from Tayfun Guttstadt and Azmah & Mereum
