Opening hours & directions
- Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and
- Thursday from 12-19 o’clock.

In our welcome area, you have the opportunity to sit down and relax, have a chat or enjoy some refreshments.
Our hosts in the welcome area will be happy to pour you a glass of Çay and are always happy to talk to you or answer your questions about the exhibition and the documentation center.
You are also welcome to help yourself from our fruit bowl. We offer both free of charge. If you have any other requests, our small kiosk is at your disposal, where we offer snacks and other drinks.
We are geared towards children: You can retreat to our cocoon with children’s books provided by us while the adults visit the exhibition. We also have a buggy on site that you are welcome to use.

Public guided tours of the exhibition take place on Thursdays at 17:00, Fridays at 15:00, Saturdays at 14:30 and Sundays at 11:00.

Opening hours Archive & Assembly
Archive: Wednesday and Thursday, 2-4 p.m.

Luggage
Bags up to a size of DIN A4 (20cm x 30cm) are permitted.
There will be an admission check by security.
There are lockers available during opening hours.
You will receive a key at the entrance. Please avoid large items of luggage and rucksacks.
Approach
Offener Prozess – a documentation center on the NSU complex in Saxony is located in the center of Chemnitz, at Johannisplatz 8, in the immediate vicinity of the Red Tower and the Old Town Hall. Due to its central location, the center is easily accessible by car as well as by public transport.
Arrival by car
Access by car is possible. There are several public parking garages in the surrounding area, for example in the Galerie Roter Turm.

Directions by public transportation
From Chemnitz main station:
Take streetcar lines 3, C13 or C14 towards Technopark, line 4 towards Hutholz or line C11 towards Stollberg.
Get off at the Roter Turm stop. From there it is approx. 200 meters on foot: Continue walking in the direction of travel, cross the Straße der Nationen and follow the signs to Johannisplatz.
From Chemnitz bus station:
Take the C11 line in the direction of Stollberg and get off at the Roter Turm stop. The footpath to Johannisplatz is signposted.
Tickets can be purchased directly on public transport.
