Remembering means fighting

Workshop with school classes

Those affected by right-wing terror have been fighting for many years for clarification, consequences and self-determined remembrance. By dealing with these struggles, it becomes clear that right-wing terror has a long history in both the FRG and the GDR, which continues to this day. In connection with right-wing terror, people often talk about “lone perpetrators”. In this workshop, however, we want to focus on the continuities. Participants learn about the consequences of right-wing terror for those affected and their families. They will also learn about the different strategies that these people and those in solidarity with them use to campaign for education, recognition and self-determined remembrance. Participants are encouraged to develop ideas for their own possible courses of action.
