Demands

These demands were developed together with many relatives of those murdered, as well as victims and survivors of the NSU’s crimes. Artist Felix Forsbach accompanied this process through intensive research and interviews. The collection of demands is not yet complete.

We demand

Many of our questions remain unanswered: the investigation into the NSU complex must continue. All files must be made available to us, the affected parties, immediately.

• We call on the current federal government to fulfil Angela Merkel’s promise and ‘do everything possible to solve the murders’.
• We demand that all supporters of the NSU be investigated and prosecuted.
• We demand sustainable psychological and unbureaucratic support for those of us affected.
• We demand that the state compensation gap for victims of NSU terrorism be closed and that we receive appropriate financial compensation.
• We call for more support for education and civil society engagement against everyday and institutional racism.
• We call on the media to fulfil their responsibility and, in particular, to refrain from engaging in racist reporting.
• We demand that the federal and state governments consistently combat right-wing extremism, racism and right-wing networks.
• We demand that the methods used by the police and the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, which are traumatic for us, be abolished.

The actions of the NSU and our victims must not be forgotten. We continue our fight in their memory.
