Assessment of the coalition agreement with regard to the documentation center on the NSU-Komplex
In its coalition agreement, the new federal government consisting of the CDU, CSU and SPD has committed itself to systematically combating right-wing extremism and strengthening social cohesion. As Documentation Center in Chemnitz, we expressly welcome this step – at the same time, we warn: Remembrance work must not degenerate into symbolic politics. A nationwide, participatory foundation is needed that is perceived as legitimate by those affected and their relatives.
